Late Life Creativity, Martin West

Art Never Leaves the Artist.….As we benefit from greater longevity, many morph into new areas of their lives or find more time to do those things that they love. Martin West a film documentarian, captured the lives of 50 Connecticut residents who live in or around Westport. Amazingly, this collection of professional visual artists ranged in age from 70 to 105, all still practicing their craft. An inspiration to young and old alike, West’s “Years in the Making–A Journey into Late Life Creativity” will be airing on PBS this Fall. Martin is an actor starred in 30 films, a nine-year role as Dr. Brewer on General Hospital and numerous other television shows. Martin won an Emmy for directing the film The Making of My Fair Lady. A fascinating interview.
